Minister for Pacific Peoples, Associate Minister of Justice and Associate Minister for Courts Aupito William Sio is hosting this public meeting to discuss Pacific people’s experiences and ideas for criminal justice in New Zealand.
Come along at 6pm on Friday 29 March to Fale o Samoa, 141 Bader Dr, Mangere, Auckland.
This is an opportunity for Pacific voices to be heard on reforming New Zealand’s criminal justice system, to discuss experiences and promote ideas to deliver a safer and more effective justice system for New Zealand.
This event is a key part of the national conversation that followed the Criminal Justice Summit held in August 2018 and will help inform recommendations to Justice Minister Andrew Little later this year.
It is organised by the Hāpaitia te Oranga Tangata Safe and Effective Justice programme that supports the Te Uepū Hāpai i te Ora - the Safe and Effective Justice Advisory Group leading the national conversation on criminal justice.
